About the Erik Hite Foundation:
The Erik Hite Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a child care center and family outreach programs for the children of Law Enforcement and Emergency Services personnel.
We serve and care following godly principles close to the heart of Erik, who passed away in the line of duty in 2008, as these men and women serve and protect our community.
Each year, Erik Hite Foundation hosts a gala to raise awareness and funding for their child care services. They provide child care for children of first responders in a time where child care is at an all-time high and first responders schedules don’t exactly fit the typical work week. This year, we helped them coordinate their gala, focused on the theme Children Are Our Future:
Food: Inspired by childhood favorites like grilled cheese, meatloaf and fun candy!
Appetizer: Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese Croutons
Main Course: 48 hours cooked short rib with loaded jus, sweet potato puree, aged cheddar baked potato and brussel sprouts, lavosh, rolls and butter
Dessert: Milk chocolate mousse, chocolate pop rocks, raspberry syrup
Drinks: A complimentary beverage for guests while they perused the silent auction offerings
Drink Option: Prickly pear margarita
